TEHRAN – A number of MPs issued a statement on Monday thanking the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for setting guidelines on implementation of the nuclear deal officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
The statement was signed by 166 MPs at a public session of the parliament.
The guidelines set by the Leader clarify the steps that should be taken by state bodies including parliament, administration, and the Supreme National Security Council in the process of implementing the nuclear deal.
The letter also proved this fact that the Islamic Revolution overcomes difficulties “powerfully”, the statement said.
The MPs said they will make any efforts to prevent any violation of the JCPOA by the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany).
Iran and the six major powers finalized the text of the JCPOA in Vienna on July 14.
Last week, the Leader wrote a letter to President Hassan Rouhani setting guidelines in regard to implementation of the JCPOA.
